BIOGRAPHY

Halidou Nombre holds a diploma in Musical Studies from the CRR Paris and has joined Elsa Maurus' class to prepare his concert cycle, being graduated in 2020. In masterclasses, he worked with Stéphane Degout, Ildar Abdrazakov, Jean Philippe Lafont and Ruggero Raimondi, who has prepared him for the role of Don Giovanni.
In September 2020, Halidou became a resident artist at the Queen Elisabeth Music
Chapel, under the guidance of José Van Dam and Sophie Koch. In 2021, he was laureate by the Orsay Fuoco workshop, directed by David Stern. He also won the Haydn Prize at the 27th Clermont Auvergne Opera International Singing Competition. Then, other important scholarships have followed, such as the Bourse Menda of the Opéra Comique de Paris.
The French bass-baritone has already performed roles such as Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen, at the Théâtre Royal de Mons; Ozone and Terre in Monterisi's Babel, at the Opéra Nice Côte d'Azur; and Baloo in Feldhandler's Jungle, at Opéra de Tours, Opéra Clermont Auvergne, Opéra de Massy and Opéra de Limoges. Recently, Halidou Nombre sang in a recital at the Opéra Comique de Paris.
In the 2022-23 season, he performed the roles of Colline in Puccini's La Bohème and Conte Almaviva in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, with Opera Fuoco; Duc de Vérone in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, at the Opéra de Rouen Normandie; Jagu in Paderewski's Manru and Un Ministre du Sanctuaire in Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride, at the Opéra National de Lorraine Nancy; Golaud in Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande, at Opéra de Vichy and Fondation Royaumont; and Bariton in Stockhausen's Freitag aus Licht, at the Opéra de Lille.
Halidou Nombre’s 2023-24 season started with performances of La Traviata where he sang the role of Baron Duphol, at the Nuits Lyriques de Marmande, and a revival of Le Nozze di Figaro, as Conte Almaviva, with Opera Fuoco.
