REVIEWS

"Ivan Thirion gives Albert a dark, authoritative bass voice, which is capable of great emotion towards Charlotte at the beginning, but becomes increasingly suspicious as the opera progresses."

Thomas Molke - Online Musik Magazin

"The discovery of the voice of baritone Ivan Thirion, whose career on numerous European stages (Brussels, Liège, Geneva, Aix-en-Provence festival, etc.) is already significant: with a stage commitment making David, once again, a character to be reckoned with, Ivan Thirion has an equal voice across the entire range, whose high medium and assured high notes give the apostrophe "Per voi, ghiottoni inutili" the dimension of a great baritone aria... rediscovered! One of the great moments of the evening."
Hervé Casini - Première Loge Opera

"Ivan Thirion (David) stands out with a solid, colorful baritone, inhabited by the temperament of a generous actor."
Nathalie Audin - Resonances Lyriques

"The portrayals of the fearless freedom fighter Marquis von Posa, to whom Ivan Thirion lends his full and melodious cavalier baritone, are particularly powerful. The singer, with his appropriately unconventional long hair, presents a decidedly modern figure."
Peter Krause - Concerti.de
