BIOGRAPHY

Pascale Van Os studied piano, violin and singing at the music school of Herenthout, Belgium. In September 2005, she followed her piano and violin studies at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerpen, with Levente Kende, Heidi Hendrickx and Nikolaas Kende. From September 2010, Pascale Van Os was admitted to master's programs in choral conducting, with Luc Anthonis and Geert Hendrix, and orchestral conducting with Ivo Venkov and Koen Kessels, at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerpen. In 2013, she graduated in choral conducting and, in 2014, in orchestral conducting.

 

In the 2021-22 season, Pascale Van Os was the Assistant Conductor of Gergely Madaras, at the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, where she could conducting several concerts, including composers such as Respighi, D’Indy, Liszt and Rachmaninov. In June 2022, she was invited to conduct a concert for the Belgian embassy in Warsaw, with the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra (Poland). In 2021, she recorded Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, with the pianist Lise de la Salle, and Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4, with the violinist Sylvia Huang, both with the Orchestre de Picardie. In the same year, Pascale received the Award Ernest van der Eycken as an upcoming conductor.

 

Pascale is regularly invited to conduct orchestras such as KLK Symphony Orchestra, Lviv Philharmonic (Ukraine) and Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria). As an associated conductor she collaborate with many orchestras and choirs from Belgium (Virago Symphonic Orchestra, Stringendo, Symphonic Orchestra Artemis, Choeur de la Régionale ACJ de Bruxelles, among others).

 

The Belgian conductor won several prizes: with the Vocal Ensemble Caloroso she won the 2nd. prize in the category chamber choir at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod 2013 (Wales) and the Prize of the Ministry of Culture at the Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions 2016 (Poland).  In 2011 she won the conductor's competition organised by Klara.

She was admitted to masterclasses orchestral conducting with Kristiina Poska, Romolo Gessi, Lior Shambadal, Giancarlo Andretta, Konrad Von Abel, László Kovács, Jessica Cottis, Mark Shanahan, Richard Hetherington, Michalis Economou and conducted Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, The Collective, Berliner Symphoniker, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Philharmonic Mihail Jora in Bacau, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Ensemble Chroma, Lviv Philharmonic and Athens Philharmonia Orchestra.
